Through the generosity of donors, businesses and community partners, NBRHC Foundation raises funds to help North Bay Regional Health Centre purchase medical equipment, introduce new technology and strengthen programs that support patients and families across our region.

Healthcare is constantly evolving. New equipment, technology and services can improve how patients are diagnosed, treated and cared for, but these advancements require significant investment.
Our Role in Local Healthcare
North Bay Regional Health Centre provides care for our community. NBRHC Foundation connects and facilitates the generosity of donors and community partners with hospital priorities, helping fund equipment, technology and programs that support care.
Every gift is managed with care and directed in accordance with the donor’s wishes.
Serving Our Region
North Bay Regional Health Centre serves patients from North Bay and communities across Nipissing District, while also providing specialized mental health and referral services across northeastern Ontario.
District acute medical and mental health care to North Bay and surrounding communities; an area of 30 700 square kilometres and a population of more than 129 000.
District referral centre providing specialist services for smaller area communities.
Regional specialized mental health services throughout all of northeast Ontario; an area of 300 000 square kilometres and a population of 511 000.
NBRHC provides provincial women’s forensic mental health services with an eight-bed specialized inpatient unit called Hummingbird Lodge.
Our History
NBRHC Foundation was established in 1999, with one of its first major priorities helping the community raise funds toward the new North Bay Regional Health Centre.
When the hospital opened in 2011, it represented years of community investment and partnership. Since then, donors have continued to help fund equipment, technology and programs that strengthen care across NBRHC.

NBRHC Foundation is governed by a volunteer Board of Trustees representing diverse experience from across our community. Together with Foundation staff, they help guide responsible fundraising, stewardship and investment in NBRHC priorities.

We respect this land that we are on today, and for the people who have and do reside here.
North Bay Regional Health Centre Foundation acknowledges the sacred land on which we operate here in North Bay. This land is protected by the Robinson Huron Treaty of 1850 and is the traditional territory of Nipissing First Nation, Dokis First Nation and the Anishinaabek Nation who have lived here since time immemorial.
We acknowledge that we are all treaty people. In partnership, we are committed to respecting, learning and incorporating Indigenous knowledge into our philanthropic activities.
